Between expansion and premiumization

As part of its objective to establish a retail network across China and England, Lola Rose called on our agency’s strategic and creative teams to shape its very first boutique in Beijing. Our mission was twofold: to clarify and enrich the global brand fundamentals while allowing Lola Rose to make a definite move up-market through the proposed retail experience.

The project began with work unifying the brand codes and the realization of a Brand Touch© – a Carré Basset owned creative strategy tool that allows for the development of a common creative reference across all consumer touchpoints to better ensure uniqueness and consistency.

 

THE GRAND HOTEL OF POSSIBILITY

Once this first step was complete, the Retail teams then started work crystallising this universe into an inviting retail experience that proposes a colourful art of living. The result: The Grand Hotel Lola Rose, an experience that immerses the consumer in the brand’s British origins and the jewellery counterpart to Wes Anderson’s cinematic universe.

 

It brings together all the elements of a typically London hotel: a lobby decorated with several clocks, a London Is Calling telephone that recounts the brand’s storytelling to everyone who picks up, a tea room in the back room, and more. The codes are inspired by the precious stones used in the brand’s jewellery and watches: the furniture is bevelled, and Lola Rose’s signature colour, emerald green, is predominant. The experience is completed by several virtual fittings and content shared directly across social networks.
